Job Summary
The Inside Sales and Business Development Specialist creates opportunities for expanding the use of our dynamic, proprietary software system to employee benefit agents, brokers and consultants throughout the country. In addition, this professional provides administrative, strategic, and practical support to help facilitate the cultivation of business relationships with new and existing Medcom partners (brokerage firms and their personnel at all levels). The result of this work will be increased sales for Medcom's compliance services.
Job performance will be reviewed after 90 days, and pay range may increase at that time for high performers. Candidates for the higher range of the pay scale the pay scale should have a college degree and/or two years of proven experience in an inside sales, administrative/professional office role.
Duties
- Helps to organize and coordinate a variety of business development activities
- Prepares, formats, and delivers time-sensitive proposals, marketing materials, presentations, forms, and reports
- Develops, updates, and maintains prospecting contact lists
- Proactively solicits employee benefit agents, brokers and consultants to educate them about our dynamic proprietary compliance -relate software platform
- Tracks performance for increasing broker activity on the proprietary system
- Delivers educational forums for leading broker partners
- Develops and maintains accurate knowledge of each brokerage agency's service preferences, contacts, activity levels, and pricing
- Maintains a broad understanding of Medcom's compliance services, processes, and delivery model
- Schedules meetings and webinars and records notes
- Assists in planning and organizing business development campaigns
- Responds to internal and external inquiries related to Medcom's compliance services by email and by phone
- Creates and updates agencies, users, products, and fee schedules within the Medcom Bridge, our proprietary technology platform for tracking and managing compliance services
- Provides brokers with access credentials for the Medcom Bridge software platform
- Educate brokers regarding the most effective way of using the Medcom Bridge
- Follows all Medcom policies as they relate to privacy and security
- Follows all other duties that are assigned to them

- Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in the employee benefit field
